Race Number & Chip Belts: Profile Design
Season triathletes would already know this. But just for the benefit of those who’re thinking of attempting your first full or sprint triathlon, there are perks with using a race number belt or chip band (depending on the organiser’s choice of medium for time logging). One reason would be forgoing the need to pin your race number during transition which can result in costly time wasted; whereas with a race belt, you’re just a clip away from getting on with the race. Timing chips can always be attached to the running shoe beforehand but then again, some prefer to have alternatives. Here are a couple of makes from Profile Design.
