Race Peek: Hong Kong Life Triathlon Championships 2012

Hong Kong Life Triathlon Championships 2012 is a yearly signature sports event organized by the Hong Kong Triathlon Association (Tri HK), and title sponsored by Hong Kong Life.

Race Peek: Hong Kong Life Triathlon Championships 2012

The event will be held on 3 June 2012, Sunday at Chong San Road, Science Park, Shatin. This Swim-Bike-Run challenge is catered for athletes aged 8 and over. There are 4 distances organized for different sports enthusiasts.

  • Course A (Sprint Distance)
    Elite Open /Elite Junior / Age Grouper / Relay team (750m Swim, 20km Bike, 5km Run)
  • Course B
    Junior /Open /Veteran (200m Swim, 12km Bike, 1.5km Run)
  • Course C
    Youth Open (200m Swim, 8km Bike, 1.5km Run)
  • Course D
    Para Relay /Family Relay/Best Costume Relay (200m Swim, 4km Bike, 1.5km Run)
  • Course E
    Tri Kids born in 2001-2004 (200m Swim, 4km Bike, 1.5km Run)
  • Course F
    Tri Kids born in 1997-2000 (200m Swim, 8km Bike, 1.5km Run)

All athletes will have their swim start at Tolo Harbour, After finishing their swim course, they will start the bike course at Chong San Road and back to Pak Shek Kok Promenade as run course and cross the finish.

The race is divided into Individual, Relay, Para Relay, Family Relay, Best Costume Relay, and School Team Competition. There should be at least 2 members and maximum 3 members for a relay team. For the School Team Competition, each team shall consist of at least 3 members from same school, gender, and race course.

All successful finishers of the event will receive a race souvenir pack.

To participate, download and fill up the entry form from Tri HK website. Entry forms can be accepted through postal, in-person or online application.

The race now opens for entry, the deadline of application is 21 May 2012 (Monday).

Hong Kong Life and Hong Kong Triathlon Association will donate a total of HK$20 upon each enrollment received to Hong Kong Blind Sports Association as a support to its sports development of the visually-impaired.
